I felt in love
Just in Philippines but who knows. So I want to explore them a little more. That required me to do some plan changes.
Since yesterday I was suppose to be on Boracay. But I like it so much here, that I decided to prolong my car rental and stay on Luzon a little more. Now I’m in Baler on the East coast. Its a surfers paradise. You can surf here every day. Unfortunately not kitesurfers. But still, it’s nice.
I was also on Hundred Islands were I had small wake session.
In the afternoon when termic winds came I tried to kitesurf, but it soon ended with kite in the water. Wind tricked wind meter and me. But no worries, tomorrow I will drive south to Camanires Sur where kitesurfing conditions are supposed to me much better.
My experience from the Philippines are extra positive. I have never met so nice people. Always smiling, but a little shy when it comes to white people. Most of them speak english so I don’t have much problems with communication.
Food is like a separate whole story, so I will do a video about it. So just shortly, I’m in heaven. Food is soooooo gooood. The best it with locals on the streets. For just 7zł you can eat good meal. Well, unless you mind the surroundings. I don’t. Restaurants are more expensive, with prices similar to Polish, but still food is better.
Less positive story here is with unemployment, There are 100 mln people living on Philippines. This country is just too small to sustain that many people. As a result you can hire a house keeper for just $4 a day plus food and place to sleep. And they are hard working people.
Tomorrow I will be leaving for Camanires Sur to search for better kitesurfng conditions. In 4 days I have my plane to Boracay, then another 4 days there and then Thailand
